WRITuals

The WRITuals series of literary pub nights in the Arbor Room at Hart House are held on the last Wednesday of every month. WRITuals brings audiences a wide range of authors, poets and spoken-word artists; past appearances have included established artists such as Adrienne Weiss, Afua Cooper, book launches for Canadian publishing companies such as Broken Pencil and up-and coming talent on the UofT campus. Though there are featured readers every month much of the night is devoted to the open mic. There is no cover charge for Writuals. For more information on WRITuals, contact us at 416.946.7323.

Library Readings

The Hart House Library plays host to a number of author readings every year; past appearances have featured internationally-renowned artists such as A.L. Kennedy, Margaret Atwood and Michael Ondaatje. If you would like to get involved and help Hart House showcase a wide range of talented authors, contact us at 416.946.7323.

Algonquin Square Table

An informal gathering and workshop of UofT poets and authors, meetings of the infamous Algonquin Square Table feature some of the sharpest wit and brightest talent on the UofT campus since the days of Dorothy Parker. For more information on the Algonquin Square Table, or to help organize and plan meetings, please contact us at 416.946.7323.
