The Hart House Review print annual is a nationally distributed literary and arts magazine. The Review also regularly publishes online content which may differ from its print counterpart. In some cases, online content may be considered for our print annual.
We are interested in fiction, poetry, creative non-fiction, critical book reviews and art. We are also actively looking for book reviewers, if you would like to review books please send a writing sample to harthousereview@gmail.com
Submissions are now open for our 2012 print edition. Deadline for all categories: January 15th, 2012. Please submit through our submission manager.

Print guidelines:
The print edition of the Hart House Review is open to anyone, anywhere. We do not accept work that has been submitted elsewhere simultaneously or work that has been previously published.
You may submit up to two prose pieces; three poems; or three pieces of artwork. Prose/poetry/art combinations are also welcome so long as they do not exceed a maximum of five pieces. Short fiction should not exceed a maximum of 2,500 words each; poetry should not exceed a maximum of 200 lines each. Please submit in either DOC, PDF, or RTF format.
For all artwork/photography, please submit images in JPG format with resolution of at least 300dpi. If images are too large to be e-mailed, please contact us at: harthousereview@gmail.com.
Names should not appear anywhere on the submission. Submissions with names, or submitting more than the maximum amount of allowed work will result in disqualification.
It is permissible to submit the same pieces to the Hart House contests and to the Review.
Online guidelines:
The online edition of the Hart House Review is open to submissions from anybody in the world. Please send 3-5 poems, or prose that does not exceed 1000 words. We accept material all year round. Please submit in either DOC, PDF, or RTF format.
It is permissible to submit the same pieces to the online and print editions of the Review.
